Capt Rois, I bring here the copy of my 'reply' to your and Yuline's comments in my blog' as follows:

Thanks Rois and Yuline, I've inspected Rois' blog: writingkibipusbasa.blogspot.com/ as soon as I got the information! And I agree with the result of experts' research and their recommendation. In my opinion, the main job of teachers in the modern methodology of teaching is more on "how to motivate the students" rather than "to teach 'em in front of the class"! Once students happy to do self study, the learning process will run much faster, coz the students no longer depending on their teachers and class hours. And I believe that e-learning (which is: writingkibipusbasa.blogspot.com/ is included) is the answer! Bravo KIBI !

Goodluck Rois!

Sir, with all do my respect,
Thanking you for taking this blog as one of the examples of many ways of executing e-learning format in Badiklat's perspective. Indeed, one of the uses of blog in language leaning is for collaborative learning.

I have been practicing this collaborative learning since I was in DITC. I also initiated the use of VOLLS at www.ditc.net.au for collaborative learning between our students at Pusdiklat Bahasa and DITC. It was running well. More than gaining success virtually, the AAELC curriculum adopting collaborative learning as one of their prospective activities.

As you are aware, to include such program in a curriculum within the Aussie's training institution is not an easy step. Long approach and Research and Development have to be done deliberately. Although, this year DITC singled out Pusdiklat Bahasa, the internal collaborative learning amongst AAELC students still continues.

Sir, I personally been presenting this kind of method in the beginning of Road Map incubation, however to my understanding, the agenda is not well responded.
Now, I do this collaborative learning again... and again only one or two instructors are interested to ask. What in their general mind is that this collaborative learning is always been correlated with Computer laboratory activities. I should say; NO IT IS NOT.

This is a normal class, I meet the students, I do presentation, I ask students to discuss, and at the end I ask them to do the tasks. The task normally presented in paper based media, but for me, I ask them to submit their work online (paperless-based).

There are many advantages using this way, one of them is that, each every students can see, read, evaluate, assess, comment, respond, rewrite their work without being afraid of losing their previous works. Their works are archived and available at any time they want to access 24/7 with or without teacher.
I agree that instructors have to know this and try it out by themselves, but what I am. I am willingly, happily sharing whatever knowledge I have, but again my efforts will never be significantly affect the condition, unless , in practice there should be a TOT for this kind of issue conducted by institution. And, a special incentive is prepared for instructors who can save the paper and printer ink and keep the world green. hehehe....

Thank you.

Many institutions limit access to their online information. Making this information available will be an asset to all.
